Bethlehem
Bethlehem's (Betty's) mother abandoned and left her with a neighbor when she was a young child. Her father remains unknown. The neighbor could no longer care for Betty and contacted the Rafiki Foundation for help. Betty then arrived at the Rafiki Village Ethiopia in July 2010. She soon began to thrive at the Rafiki Village. After reading Matthew 5:9 and speaking to her Rafiki Mother about the importance of patience, Bethlehem has decided to be more of a peacemaker. She strives to help other Rafiki children seek peace. Betty does very well in school and enjoys studying math, literature, and science.
