Kropf September 2022

“Do not work for food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you” (John 6:27).

Greetings to all our faithful supporters. We are so grateful for each of you continuing with us serving God through the Rafiki Foundation. Del and I, through many changes in the last several months, have seen God’s continued provision. God is faithful! In April we left the Rafiki Village Kenya due to Del’s decline in health. We returned to the States and began seeing doctors, yet we felt that God was continuing to call us to serve Him through Rafiki. After talking with the Rafiki Home Office and prayer, we accepted an offer to move to the Home Office and serve stateside as missionaries. We quickly sold our home in Michigan and purchased a home in Eustis, Florida about 10 minutes from the Home Office.

Del’s health is preventing him from full-time work at this time, but he has been given flexibility to help at the Rafiki Exchange, a store selling the Rafiki Widows Program products in Mount Dora, Florida. This store is staffed by volunteers selling the wide variety of handmade widows’ products from across ten countries in Africa. Lisa has begun full-time work helping with the Child Sponsorship Program. There are hundreds of sponsors who support orphans and community students providing care and an education. We have settled in quickly and are enjoying God’s provision of this opportunity to continue serving. We have agreed to serve with Rafiki until the Lord shows us otherwise.

We would like to invite you to continue your sponsorship of us. God is doing great things through Rafiki in Africa, and it is a privilege to be able to join in. The vision of the Rafiki Foundation is to cultivate a multitude of godly contributors in ten different African countries. Rafiki has established ten Rafiki Training Villages within the African countries of Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, and Ethiopia. These Villages provide living and educational facilities through Rafiki’s five programs: Bible Study, Education, Teacher Training, Orphan Care, and Widows. Currently Rafiki has over 3200 African students attending the Rafiki PreK-12 classical Christian schools. Six hundred of these are orphans and 2,600 are community students. The community students receive a scholarship to our classical Christian school and two meals a day.

Praises

God’s provision of all our needs as we have made the transition back to the States.

Thank you for all your support and encouragement.

Please pray that the Lord will provide more Rafiki missionaries and more day student sponsors so that we can bring Bible study and classical Christian education to more needy children. Perhaps He is calling you to be the answer to one of those prayers? Visit www.RafikiFoundation.org to learn more.

Prayer Requests

  • God’s equipping as we learn new roles here at the Home Office.
  • God’s provision of a kidney donor for Del.
  • God to place on people’s hearts to become Rafiki Missionaries.
