Warm greetings to you in the blessed name of our Savior, Jesus Christ!

This is our second newsletter, coming to you as we prepare for the mission assignment in Modjo, Ethiopia, in 2020. Our home church, Ethiopian Christian Fellowship Church in Los Angeles, and our neighborhood church, Cross Point Santa Clarita Valley, prayed over our family in October. The churches announced to their congregations that we have begun preparation for the mission field. We appreciate the love and prayer support that began coming from our fellow believers, friends, and family.

Josh and Rebecca are going to their schools this school year here in Santa Clarita. Josh is now in 7th grade, and he is fully focused on basketball. Rebecca is in 10th grade, and she enjoys her writing and animating after she is done with her schoolwork. The Lord has answered our prayers in finding a good school in Ethiopia for them, and we are grateful that they will be able to continue their education at Bingham Academy in Addis Ababa once we begin our mission assignment.

We also had a productive time at the Global Outreach event at The Master’s University (TMU) last week. A fellow missionary drove all the way down from the Sacramento area to join us in representing The Rafiki Foundation. We were able to invite college students to join the call to serve in mission sites with Rafiki. It was a blessing to see a few college students express their interest in serving abroad.

We have a few prayer needs:

We are currently at 20% of funds needed for the mission task, and we would like to see it rise to the amount needed for the task in time for our departure.

• We are also waiting for our house to sell so we do not have to worry about mortgages while we are in the field.

• Please pray for peace in Ethiopia. Religious conflicts and ethnic violence are making the news these days.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age ” (Matthew 28:19-20).

Thank you for standing with us in preparing the next generation for the Gospel.
