Aluvisia June 2021
I am thankful to be writing to you from Kenya again after a long and trying four months. Eric and I are grieved at the loss of our son, Jonathan Ahadi. We fought long and hard for him but the Lord saw fit to take him on March 16 after five hours of life. I was thankful that the Lord granted me over an hour to hold him and sing to him as he slipped away. I will treasure those moments forever. We buried him in Maryland close to my family’s home. It was a beautiful service and I am thankful for friends and family who came to witness the burial.

Thank you so much for your prayers. I am now back with Eric and we are learning how to move forward together. The Lord is good and makes no mistakes. May His name be praised forevermore.
Reunited at the airport
Eric kept himself busy at Rafiki Village Kenya while I was in the U.S. The gate was repainted, he taught many classes, and built paths in the Village. In addition to his Village work, he also continued serving at church as a deacon, through music ministry, and as a Sunday School teacher. We thank God for opportunities to serve.

Kenya is recovering from a third wave of COVID-19, but schools are set to remain on schedule. We opened for a new term on May 10. Eric will continue teaching physics, piano classes, and doing work on the Rafiki Village grounds. Pray for him to reach the students with the gospel and that they would learn much from him both in and out of the classroom. I have resumed my duties as Rafiki Music Coordinator but I am taking on tasks slowly as I adjust back to Kenya and go through the grieving process. I have begun violin classes and currently have over twenty students learning violin. Pray for me that I would be strong and continue to rest in God’s promises.
This has been a hard and dark time for Eric and me. We are so grateful for your continued support and prayers. Please remember us as we continue to serve and seek the Lord. We thank God for you and for the members of Trinity Baptist Church Nairobi who have been an incredible support during this time. I cannot thank everyone personally as there have been people beyond number reaching out to us in love. Know that we are immensely grateful for your encouragement.
May God continue to bless and keep you!
