Christie and Peter Tokpah

Christie and Peter Tokpah
Peter and Christie met at the Rafiki Village Liberia and were married in 2023.
Christie heard about the Rafiki Foundation through Bible Study Fellowship in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she served as a discussion leader. After going on a short-term mission trip to the Rafiki Village Nigeria, she felt called to full-time service and became a missionary to Liberia in 2010. She earned an Associate Degree in Accounting from Davenport University, a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University, and a Master’s Degree in Education from Regent University.
Peter was born and raised in Liberia. He graduated as Valedictorian from Rafiki’s teacher’s college in 2022 with an Associate’s Degree in Classical Christian Education. Following graduation, he worked at the Rafiki Classical Christian School as a teacher. He became a full-time missionary in 2024 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Regent University.
Christie currently serves as Headmaster for the lower school division of the Rafiki Classical Christian School. Peter serves as Outreach Coordinator, overseeing the training of those who purchase the Rafiki curriculum and Sunday school materials. In addition, he performs accounting duties for the Village and serves as a lecturer at the college.
Both Peter and Christie desire to serve with Rafiki because of its emphasis on Bible study and are thankful for the opportunity to study God’s Word daily with staff and students. They are grateful for their supporters who partner with them.
