Rafiki Foundation  |  Training Africans to Transform Africa for Christ

My Name is

Child Village: Uganda
Child ID: CB066
Sumaya's father died from complications due to AIDS and her mother started living with another man who did not want Sumaya. Sumaya's grandmother could not take care of Sumaya, and her mother was not willing to care for her so Sumaya was considered abandoned by social welfare. She was released into Rafiki's care and arrived at her new home in October 2005. Now, Sumaya is doing well in math, biology, English, and literature. She enjoys math and biology most of all because she is interested in numbers, problem solving, and nature. She has sought help with history, geography, and Bible classes. She knows God loves and cares for her and is absolutely stumped by the fact that He also cares about the trees, rocks, animals, birds, and everything else. Sumaya also knows that education is the key for her future, and she knows that she must strive to master all her subjects.
