My Name is
Mathias
Mathias
Mathias’s mother died a year after his father died. After his mother died, Mathias and his brother, John, were given to an uncle. He was a farmer who barely made enough to provide food for his own family—let alone two extra children. Social welfare services recommended the boys be placed at Rafiki. Mathias and his brother arrived at the Rafiki Village Ghana in 2008. Mathias loves to play soccer and is a fierce competitor despite his small stature. He has learned from the Rafiki Bible Study that he needs to always be in prayer. His favorite hymn is "Christ is Coming." He continues to pray for spiritual growth and academic discipline.
