My Name is
Martey

Martey
Martey and his two sisters were often left unattended for days at a time by their mentally ill mother. Social welfare services intervened, and the children arrived at the Rafiki Village Ghana in 2003. They soon benefited from the nutritious food, quality care, and loving environment at the Village. Martey's mother gave birth to another boy the following year and he joined them at the Village in 2009. Martey loves to read and enjoys creating art. He has graduated from the Rafiki School and is currently attending university in Ghana. Once he is finished, he hopes to become a graphic designer and web developer. Martey prays that he will continue to grow spiritually and live a life that is pleasing to God.
