My Name is
Irene
Irene
After being abandoned by their parents, Irene and her twin sister, Dorine, were living with their impoverished paternal grandmother. Though she tried, she could not provide for their basic needs. Social Welfare visited the home and found the girls in poor health, sick with malaria, and receiving only tea for sustenance. Irene and Dorine arrived at the Rafiki Village Tanzania in 2012. Irene continues to learn the value of hard work in her studies. As she studies the Bible, she finds that her faith grows. Irene is thankful to be at Rafiki where she receives a good education and learns about God.
