Hana

Hana’s mother died in 2008, and her father remains unknown. She had no real caregiver and shifted between living at her uncle's house, her neighbor's, and a local church. After the local court certified that Hana was abandoned, they asked that she be placed at the Rafiki Village Ethiopia. She arrived in 2010 and soon thrived in her new, loving environment. As she reflects back on her life, she sees that she has learned to delight in the things God delights in. She knows that when God calls her to a task, he will equip her with all she needs to complete it. Hana’s favorite hymn is “My Hope is Built on Nothing Less” because it reminds her that God is her solid rock and firm foundation even if she faces trials. Hana prays that she will never grow weary of doing good and that she will be a godly woman and a good example to all around her.
