Gritty

After the death of her parents, Gritty lived in the care of an aunt and uncle. At the time, they also cared for seven other children and were unable to provide for Gritty’s needs. She arrived at the Rafiki Village Malawi in 2007. Gritty adjusted well to her new home and proved to be a tender-hearted, reflective, and kind girl. She is now a graduate of the Rafiki School and attends university in Malawi. Gritty has learned many things since beginning university. She says that it can be difficult for Christians to live as followers of God when they are surrounded by people with different morals. She is grateful for her training at Rafiki which gave her a solid understanding of God’s Word. Gritty knows that a life without Christ is full of darkness and she strives to live a life pleasing to God. Gritty prays that she will continue to be strong in her faith and that the new skills and knowledge she gains at university will help her contribute to her country.
