My Name is

Child Village: Uganda
Child ID: CB054
George’s father and mother could not care for him. George was malnourished when he was referred to Rafiki by a ministry in the Mukono district of Kampala. Social Welfare agreed that he and his sister, Katherine, needed to be removed from the home and placed at the Rafiki Village Uganda so that the children would have a new start in life. They arrived to their new home, new mother, and new siblings in June 2006. Their younger brother Moses arrived in December 2007. George is currently a Grade Level 10 student at Kamonkoli College, Mbale. He is adjusting to a heavy schedule of ten to fourteen subjects a term. His favorite subjects are chemistry, physics, and math. He hopes to become a chemical engineer in the future. He struggles with math, physics, and biology. He recalls a successful science experiment where he tested for carbon dioxide using two different methods.
