Ermias

Ermias' mother was mentally handicapped. She abandoned Ermias and his sister and left their impoverished grandmother to care for them. Because their grandmother had no reliable income, she sought help for the children. Ermias arrived at the Rafiki Village Ethiopia in 2011, and he soon adjusted well to his new home. Now, Ermias is a thankful young man, eager to thank God in all things. His favorite part of each week is Sunday when he attends church and hears God’s Word preached. Ermias loves to tell others about God and hopes to become a pastor. His favorite hymn is “Jesus, what a Friend for Sinners!” because it reminds him that though he was dead in his trespasses, he was made alive in Christ. Ermias prays that kind words will always come from his mouth and that his family will trust in Christ.
