Edwin’s father abandoned him when he was a young child, leaving him with his uncle. Though he tried, his uncle could not provide for Edwin's basic needs. Edwin arrived at Rafiki Village Malawi in 2007 and rapidly transformed thanks to quality care, nutritious food, and a loving family environment. Now, Edwin is active at his church and will sometimes lead cottage devotions. He likes language arts and is discovering that he likes to write. Edwin loves Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior. He reads the Bible regularly and seeks comfort from God.
