“Teachers oppose curriculum review”, the national newspaper in Uganda reported on September 19, 2017. In addition, national statistics inform that Uganda needs another 80,000 teachers. At least 20,000 of them are urgently needed for the secondary schools. Two-thirds of the teachers needed are for the sciences. Fast forward, by 2020—that’s three years’ time—the need will escalate to 180,000 teachers on demand.
