James
James
James was referred to the Rafiki Foundation by a social worker from a group in the Presbyterian Church of East Africa. Due to illness and death, James's family was unable to care for his basic needs. They heavily depended upon well-wishers for food and other basic needs. James arrived at the Rafiki Village Kenya in 2009. James is a bright young man who excels in school. His work is orderly, and he stands out in his leadership abilities. He especially enjoys studying math and physics and loves to teach them to others. James also enjoys soccer and athletics in physical education classes. After he finishes his schooling, James hopes to become a computer scientist. James strives to make the most of his time at the Rafiki Village and learn all he can. His favorite hymn is “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing” because it reminds him that God’s mercies are never ceasing. James prays that he will become a man after God’s own heart and serve the Lord in all he does.
