Bertha lost both of her parents to illness. She lived in extreme poverty and hardship with an elderly grandfather before arriving at the Rafiki Village Malawi in 2007. She quickly embraced her new life at Rafiki and has blossomed into a joyful, excited girl. She works very hard in class and demonstrates a growing love for and knowledge of the things of God. Bertha has given her life to Jesus and has made a commitment to trust Him, pray every day, and follow Him all the days of her life.
